UML General Convention voting to take place from 7 pm to 1 am

KATHMANDU: The election schedule of the 11th General Convention of the UML has been revised.

The party’s Central Election Commission has amended the timetable for the election of office-bearers and members of the Central Committee, Central Disciplinary Commission, and Central Accounts Commission under the convention, which is being held from December 13 onwards.

According to the revised schedule, voting will take place on Tuesday from 7 pm to 1 am. The Election Commission stated that vote counting, result announcement, certificate distribution, and oath-taking will all be conducted at the convention venue itself.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the Election Commission said the election program and timetable may be further amended if required.

The revision comes amid delays and technical preparations related to the voting process, as the party moves to complete the leadership selection process during the ongoing national convention.
