PM Karki urges NFDIN to work effectively for promotion of indigenous nationalities



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Sushila Karki has directed the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities (NFDIN) to operate in a more result-oriented and effective manner to justify its relevance.

The Foundation is a state-owned institution established for the promotion and development of indigenous nationalities.

Addressing the 26th Board Council meeting of the Foundation, which she chaired on Monday, PM Karki emphasized the need for stronger and more efficient execution of the Foundation’s initiatives.

She also highlighted that the organization should contribute to showcasing the country’s diversity by preserving and promoting the cultures of all indigenous communities, while supporting tourism development.

During the meeting, the Board also approved the Foundation’s institutional reports for the fiscal years 2081/82 and 2082/83 BS.
