Kathmandu Valley feels colder as minimum temperature drops



KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley fell on Tuesday, making the morning colder than the previous day.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in the Valley was recorded at 5.4°C at 5:45 am, compared to 5.9°C at the same time on Monday.

Later, at 8:45 am, the temperature continued to drop, matching yesterday’s early morning minimum of 5.4°C. Officials noted that the minimum temperature could fall further as the day progresses.

The Division monitors both minimum and maximum temperatures across various locations in the country. The lowest temperature recorded in a day is considered the minimum, while the highest is the maximum.

According to meteorologists, daily minimum temperatures are usually recorded at 8:45 am, while maximum temperatures are noted at 5:45 pm.
