NRB publishes today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the Bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at 141 rupees 70 paisa, while the selling rate stands at 142 rupees 30 paisa.

Similarly, the buying rate for one European Euro is 164 rupees 53 paisa and the selling rate is 165 rupees 22 paisa. The buying rate for one UK Pound Sterling is 186 rupees 13 paisa, with the selling rate at 186 rupees 92 paisa. One Swiss Franc is being bought at 178 rupees 91 paisa and sold at 179 rupees 67 paisa.

For other major currencies, the buying rate for one Australian Dollar is 92 rupees 23 paisa and the selling rate is 92 rupees 62 paisa. One Canadian Dollar is being bought at 100 rupees 94 paisa and sold at 101 rupees 37 paisa. The buying rate for one Singapore Dollar is 108 rupees 79 paisa, while the selling rate is 109 rupees 25 paisa.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is 9 rupees 16 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 20 paisa. One Chinese Yuan is being bought at 19 rupees 96 paisa and sold at 20 rupees 04 paisa. One Saudi Arabian Riyal has a buying rate of 37 rupees 79 paisa and a selling rate of 37 rupees 95 paisa. Similarly, one Qatari Riyal is being bought at 38 rupees 88 paisa and sold at 39 rupees 04 paisa.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai Baht is 4 rupees 37 paisa and the selling rate is 4 rupees 38 paisa. One UAE Dirham is being bought at 38 rupees 58 paisa and sold at 38 rupees 74 paisa.

The buying rate for one Malaysian Ringgit is 34 rupees 29 paisa and the selling rate is 34 rupees 43 paisa. One hundred South Korean Won is being bought at 9 rupees 71 paisa and sold at 9 rupees 75 paisa. The buying rate for one Swedish Kronor is 14 rupees 96 paisa and the selling rate is 15 rupees 03 paisa, while one Danish Kronor is being bought at 22 rupees 03 paisa and sold at 22 rupees 12 paisa.

The Bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong Dollar at 18 rupees 23 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 31 paisa. One Kuwaiti Dinar is being bought at 461 rupees 95 paisa and sold at 463 rupees 91 paisa.

The buying rate for one Bahraini Dinar stands at 375 rupees 84 paisa, with a selling rate of 377 rupees 43 paisa. One Omani Rial is being bought at 368 rupees 05 paisa and sold at 369 rupees 61 paisa. The exchange rate for one hundred Indian Rupees has been fixed at 160 rupees for buying and 160 rupees 15 paisa for selling.

The Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also clarified that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
