Man killed in rhino attack in Chitwan



CHITWAN: A 60-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City–28, Jange Kumal, died after being attacked by a rhino near the Rapti River on Sunday night.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal, spokesperson for the Chitwan District Police Office, Kumal had gone fishing behind Meghauli Serai Hotel when a wild rhino attacked him, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to the government hospital in Bharatpur for treatment but succumbed to his injuries during the course of care.

Police are currently conducting further investigations into the incident.
