Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign currency exchange rates for Friday, showing mixed trends across major international currencies.

While the exchange rates for currencies such as the US dollar, euro, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have increased, the rates for the Australian dollar and British pound have declined.

As per today’s rate, the buying rate of 1 US dollar is NPR 136.59, and the selling rate is NPR 137.19. After falling for two consecutive days, the US dollar has shown a slight uptick today.

Yesterday, the dollar was being bought at NPR 136.14 and sold at NPR 136.74.

Similarly, the euro is trading higher today. The buying rate of 1 euro is NPR 152.91 and the selling rate is NPR 153.58. On Thursday, the rates were NPR 152.76 (buying) and NPR 153.74 (selling).

In contrast, the British pound has edged lower. Today’s buying rate for 1 pound is NPR 181.46 and the selling rate is NPR 182.26, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 181.51 and NPR 182.31, respectively.

The Australian dollar also saw a drop. The buying rate stands at NPR 87.51 and the selling rate at NPR 87.90. Yesterday, the respective rates were NPR 88.05 and NPR 88.44.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar continues to strengthen, with today’s buying rate at NPR 444.27 and the selling rate at NPR 446.22. On Thursday, the rates were NPR 442.92 and NPR 444.87.

The Bahraini dinar also gained slightly, with the buying rate at NPR 362.33 and the selling rate at NPR 363.92. This is an increase from yesterday’s rates of NPR 361.14 and NPR 362.73.
