UML presents its suggestions on upcoming policies and programmes to PM Oli

KATHMANDU: The ruling party CPN (UML) today submitted to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli its thematic suggestions for the policy, programmes and budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

UML General Secretary Shanker Pokhrel and other leaders handed over the Suggestion Letter to Prime Minister and party chair Oli at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar today.

General Secretary Pokhrel shared that although the UML had made such suggestions after Oli’s appointment as the Prime Minister, the suggestion letter was given again with the fresh account as the policies, programmes and budget had already been presented by the previous government at that time.

He urged the Prime Minister to implement the suggestions made by the UML to the previous government on the basis of the Sankalp Yatra (resolution march) centered on the Mid-hill (Pushpalal) highway.

PM Oli on the occasion expressed the belief that the suggestions made by a party like UML, which has a ‘visionary’ thinking, and based on the opinion of the central departments would be useful for formulating the government’s policies and programmes and the budget for the coming fiscal year.
