Democracy is a highway, it only moves forward: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli stated that the government will continue to make changes in a planned and purposeful manner until the situation improves.

Speaking at the Women’s Leadership Summit organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries on Sunday, he emphasized that the government is proceeding with planned activism and patience, rather than relying on unplanned actions.

He highlighted that nothing is impossible when progress is made with optimism and a clear plan. He also affirmed that the government is determined to combat and eliminate corruption.

“We will move forward with active patience and planned activism. We will not succumb to despair; instead, we will proceed with optimism, planning, activism, and patience. Until the situation improves, we will continue to drive change in a planned, active manner,” he said.

“We must continue as one, united. Every sector of society should work together to uplift all people. We must move forward, distinguishing right from wrong. Democracy is a highway. There is no reverse gear on the highway—democracy only moves forward.”
