Bills under consideration in parliament to be forwarded by both Houses



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the chief whips of the parliamentary parties of the ruling parties has decided to take initiation for forwarding in both the houses of parliament the bills under the consideration of parliament.

A meeting of Chief Whips of ruling parties was held at the office of Chief Whip of CPN (UML) Mahesh Kumar Bartaula at Singhadurbar today.

This meeting decided to take initiative to forward the Bill Designed to Amend and Integrate Laws Related to School Education, 2080 and the Bill designed to Provide for Formation, Operation and Service of Federal Civil Service, 2080.

“We are for presenting all six ordinances in the Parliament. The ordinances will be easily passed (by parliament) once they are put to a decision; we will bring the replacement bills on the basis of the ordinances passed. If some matters in the ordinance are inconsistent, they would be corrected through bills,” UML Chief Whip Bartaula said.

He said discussions were held on taking forward some of the bills under consideration in the parliament as well as the ordinances tabled in the parliament.

Recently, the government has tabled in the parliament the ‘Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to the promotion of Good Governance and Public Service Delivery, 2081’, the ‘Economic Procedure and Financial Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081’, the ‘Privatisation (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081’, ‘Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Economic and Business Environment and Investment Promotion, 2081’, ‘Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, 2081’ and the ‘Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Land, 2081’.
