Federation working as a ‘troubleshooter’: Chandra Dhakal

KATHMANDU: Chair of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhakal has said the federation has been acting as a “troubleshooter” in resolving issues faced by entrepreneurs, businesses, and the national economy.

Speaking at the inauguration of the 16th annual general meeting and sixth convention of the Federation of Electrical Entrepreneurs of Nepal (FEEN) today, Dhakal said the federation has been consistently working to address every challenge encountered by the business community and the economic sector.

He stated that the FNCCI has been making continuous efforts to resolve matters ranging from labour-related problems to the dedicated trunkline dispute.

He added that the federation has been engaging with government officials to improve the investment environment, pushing for legal reforms, and recommending the formation of a high-level economic reform advisory commission.

Dhakal also informed that a company named Nepal Development Public Limited, with a capital of Rs 10 billion, has been established under the leadership of the federation with the participation of various private-sector associations and their members.
