KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is organizing nationwide demonstrations and assemblies across all 77 districts today (Saturday), protesting what it calls a regressive conspiracy and demanding the reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives.
According to the party, the protest aims to clarify the political developments that unfolded after September 9, including what UML describes as the unconstitutional dissolution of Parliament, and to inform the public about its future course of action.
Earlier, UML had held gatherings in all 753 rural municipalities on Tuesday and organized meetings across 6,743 wards on November 8 as part of its nationwide mobilization campaign.
As per its declared schedule, the party will also conduct a mass demonstration and mass assembly in Kathmandu on November 22.
