Landslide blocks Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung

BAGLUNG: Continuous rainfall has triggered landslides that have blocked the Baglung section of the Kaligandaki Corridor, a national pride project.

According to Keshav Thapa, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Baglung, landslides have occurred at Kalakhola Bagar in Baglung Municipality-13 and Bel Bagar in Jaimini Municipality-8, halting transportation along the corridor.

The landslides have brought traffic to a complete standstill, and efforts to clear the debris have been hindered by ongoing rainfall. The Kalakhola area has experienced similar disruptions in the past.

Authorities say that the Kaligandaki Corridor Project, local contractors, and Baglung Municipality will begin road-clearing operations once the rain subsides.
