Cabinet expansion: Three ministers to take oath today



KATHMANDU: The Cabinet of Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to expand, with three new ministers confirmed for appointment after days of internal consultation.

According to a senior official at the Prime Minister’s Office, Kulman Ghising will head the Ministry of Energy, Urban Development, and Physical Infrastructure.

Similarly, Om Prakash Aryal has been selected as the Minister of Law and Home Affairs, while Rameshwor Khanal will take charge of the Ministry of Finance.

The oath-taking ceremony for all three ministers is scheduled for Monday, the official confirmed. Prime Minister Karki had worked intensively to finalize the cabinet appointments after officially assuming office earlier today.

Ghising is the former Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority. Aryal previously served as the Legal Advisor to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Khanal is a former Finance Secretary.
