Clashes erupt as KMC demolishes squatter homes on Manohara riverbank



KATHMANDU: Clashes broke out on Friday as Kathmandu Metropolitan City moved to demolish houses in a squatter settlement along the banks of the Manohara River.

A team led by Municipal Police Chief Raju Pandey, accompanied by bulldozers, faced resistance from local residents when the demolition began. Following the confrontation, a large number of police personnel were deployed to bring the situation under control.
