Five parliamentary committees meeting today



KATHMANDU: Five parliamentary committees — the International Relations and Tourism Committee; Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Interest Committee; Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee; Public Accounts Committee; and the Legislative Management Committee — are holding their meetings today.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee is scheduled to discuss the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Bill, 2081 and the Nepal Air Service Authority Bill, 2081, with ministry representatives presenting a detailed comparative analysis.

The Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Interest Committee will deliberate on the Export-Import (Regulation) Bill, 2081, with input from subject matter experts.

Similarly, the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will review ongoing preparations for the upcoming Hindu Kush Himalayan Parliamentarians’ Meet–2025.

The Public Accounts Committee will examine complaints concerning the load-carrying capacities of trucks.

Meanwhile, the Legislative Management Committee has included on its agenda a clause-wise discussion of the Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081, according to official sources.
