Agricultural and Forestry University’s budget of Rs 1.68 billion passed



KATHMANDU: The 14th senate meeting of the Chitwan-based Agriculture and Forestry University has endorsed a budget of Rs 1.68 billion for the coming fiscal year 2025/26.

The senate meeting presided over by Prime Minister and Chancellor of the University KP Sharma Oli at the latter’s official residence at Baluwatar today approved the University’s proposed budget and annual programmes.

University’s Registrar Prof Dr Pushkar Bahadur Pal had presented both the budget and programmes seeking consideration of the senate.

During the meeting, University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Sharada Thapaliya emphasized University’s initiatives towards ensuring quality in teaching and learning activities, research and examination system as well as in establishing business incubation centre.

The senate meetings of all the Universities and Health Academies across the country have been taking place in a short notice after Chancellor of all those universities and Health Academics, PM Oli, instructed to get all proposed budget and programmes approved in the meeting before the beginning of the new fiscal year from July 17.

Today alone, senate meetings of four universities and health academies were while two meetings are scheduled for coming Wednesday.
