Task force submits report on banking sector reform to NRB Governor



KATHMANDU: A high-level task force formed to recommend reforms in Nepal’s banking sector has submitted its final report to the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Dr. Biswo Poudel.

The task force, led by former NRB Governor Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki, handed over the report during an official meeting at the central bank on Tuesday.

The committee was formed to study and provide strategic recommendations for strengthening and improving Nepal’s banking system in the wake of emerging economic challenges.

The task force included Bhuwan Kumar Dahal, former President of the Nepal Bankers’ Association, as a member, and Guru Prasad Paudel, Executive Director of NRB’s Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department, as member-secretary.
