18 injured in lightning strikes across Nepal in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Lightning strikes across various parts of Nepal have injured 18 people in the past 24 hours, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).

Rolpa was the hardest hit, with eight injuries—six of them children at Balkalyan Secondary School and two others in Tribeni Rural Municipality.

Additional injuries were reported from Makawanpur, Pyuthan, Dang, Sankhuwasabha, Syangja, Arghakhanchi, Salyan, Rasuwa, and Rupandehi. The NDRRMA also recorded 30 separate disaster incidents across the country during the same period.
