One dead after house collapses in storm in Jhapa



JHAPA: A 65-year-old man died in Jhapa on Wednesday night after a house collapsed during a storm accompanied by heavy rain.

According to Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Jhapa District Police Office, the victim has been identified as Man Bahadur Magar of Haldibari Rural Municipality-5, Tribeni Chowk.

Magar was killed when a beam from a tin-roofed house gave way and fell on him due to the strong winds.
