Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has published today’s (Thursday) foreign currency exchange rates, showing a continued decline in the US dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar.

These currencies had also weakened on the previous day. Meanwhile, the euro, pound, and Australian dollar have further strengthened, continuing their upward momentum.

Today, the US dollar is being bought at NPR 136.14 and sold at NPR 136.74, reflecting a further decrease from yesterday’s rates of NPR 136.24 (buying) and NPR 136.84 (selling).

The euro has risen, with today’s rates at NPR 152.76 (buying) and NPR 153.74 (selling), up from NPR 151.36 and NPR 152.02 respectively.

The pound sterling also saw an increase, with a buying rate of NPR 181.51 and a selling rate of NPR 182.31, compared to yesterday’s NPR 179.95 and NPR 180.74.

Likewise, the Australian dollar strengthened, trading today at NPR 88.05 (buying) and NPR 88.44 (selling), an increase from NPR 87.36 and NPR 87.74 yesterday.

In contrast, the Kuwaiti dinar saw a slight dip, with today’s rates at NPR 442.92 (buying) and NPR 444.87 (selling), compared to yesterday’s NPR 442.97 and NPR 444.92.

The Bahraini dinar also edged down slightly to NPR 361.14 (buying) and NPR 362.73 (selling), from yesterday’s NPR 361.40 and NPR 362.99.
