4.1-magnitude earthquake hits Jajarkot



KATHMANDU: Earthquakes have been frequently occurring in various parts of Jajarkot district in recent days.

According to the National Seismological Center, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 9:31 PM on Monday, with Paink in Jajarkot as its epicenter.

No reports have been received regarding any damage caused by the earthquake, which originated in Paink, located within Kushe Rural Municipality.

The Center also reported that two earthquakes, both centered in the same area, occurred on the evening of April 3.

The first quake had a magnitude of 5.2, followed by another with a magnitude of 5.5. Some houses sustained minor damage from these tremors.

In addition, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Darchula on Chaitra 20, while a 4.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded on Chaitra 12 (March 25), according to the Seismological Center.
