Prachanda’s photo burned at RPP-backed youth organization event

HETAUDA: A photo of Maoist Center Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda was burned during an event organized by the National Democratic Youth Organization, which is affiliated with the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

The incident took place at the district convention of the youth organization in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City, where Nirajan Bam Palanta, the organization’s member secretary, set fire to Prachanda’s photo.

During the event, held on Saturday, Palanta explained that Prachanda’s statements were inciting violence and that the former king’s reputation had been tarnished by unfounded accusations made by the former prime minister.

RPP member of the House of Representatives, Deepak Bahadur Singh, also participated in the event.

Singh, who serves as the Chairman of the Infrastructure Development Committee of the House of Representatives, attended in support of the youth organization’s cause.
