NEA announces power cuts in several areas today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced scheduled power cuts in several areas of Kathmandu today for maintenance and repair work.

According to the NEA, power will be cut in areas served by various distribution centers.

Power will be cut from 11 AM to 4 PM today in areas served by the Matatirtha feeder under the Balambu distribution center for conductor upgrading.

This will affect locations such as Kanchan Gate, Bosigaun, Bothali, and Satungal Chowk, which are connected to the Satungal feeder of the same distribution center, according to NEA.

In the Jorpati distribution center, power will be interrupted from 10 AM to 1 PM today in areas under the Danchhi feeder, including Makalbari, Dakshindhoka, Tiwari Tole, Shivachowk, Aryal Gaon, Greenhill City, Bhadrabas, Na: Gaun, Hariyali Nagar, and Gajarkot.

The power cut is due to wire stretching in Mulpani Pipalbot. From 10 AM to 1 PM, power will also be cut in areas served by the Mulpani feeder, which includes Mulpani Chaur, Thali, Thapa Chowk, Laxminarayan Chowk, Chapabot, Devaldhara, Manakamnamai Mandir, Mulpani Khare, Dumakhal, Danchhi, Bhadrabas, and Gajarkot.

Additionally, power will be cut in the Sankhu feeder of the Jorpati distribution center, which affects areas such as Naya Pati, Bramhakhel, Indrayani, Sankhu, Jarsingpauwa, Nanglebhare, Gagal, Gagalphedi, and Mulpani Pipalbot.
