PM Oli to unveil ordinances through a press conference

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to hold a press conference on Wednesday to unveil the contents of four newly issued ordinances aimed at enhancing good governance and promoting investment.

The press conference is scheduled for 4 pm at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

The secretariat said the ordinances are being made public to ensure transparency and public awareness.

Initially, the government had planned to issue five ordinances, but the ordinance related to land management has been deferred.

President Ram Chandra Poudel certified the four remaining ordinances on Monday, encompassing a total of 26 provisions.

This announcement is expected to provide insights into the government’s legislative priorities and its strategies to address governance and economic challenges.
