UML Central Committee meeting underway at Bhrikutimandap



KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the CPN-UML has begun at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. The meeting started at around 11 am on Sunday.

Originally scheduled for 9 am, the meeting began about two hours later after Chair Oli arrived at the venue. Ahead of the closed session, Oli is preparing to table a proposal at the Central Committee meeting to expand the party’s leadership structure. The proposal seeks to increase the number of office bearers from 15 to 19 by adding two vice-chairs and two secretaries.

In addition, Oli is also preparing to propose expanding the Central Committee from its current strength of 251 members to 301 members.
