NRB issues today’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for Sunday. As per the rates, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 144.37, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.97.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has been set at Rs 169.24 and the selling rate at Rs 169.95. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.02 and sold at Rs 193.82, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 181.48 and a selling rate of Rs 182.24.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 96.19 and the selling rate at Rs 96.59. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 104.91 and sold at Rs 105.34, while the Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 111.75 and a selling rate of Rs 112.21.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.26 and the selling rate at Rs 9.29. The Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.46 and sold at Rs 20.55. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.47 and a selling rate of Rs 38.63, while the Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 39.61 and sold at Rs 39.77.

The buying rate of one Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.58 and the selling rate at Rs 4.60. One UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 39.31 and sold at Rs 39.47, while the Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 35.21 and a selling rate of Rs 35.35.

The South Korean won has been set at Rs 9.78 for buying and Rs 9.82 for selling. Similarly, the Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.53 and sold at Rs 15.59, and the Danish krone at Rs 22.66 and Rs 22.75, respectively.

Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.54 and the selling rate at Rs 18.62. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 470.58 and sold at Rs 472.54, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 382.97 and Rs 384.56, and the Omani rial at Rs 374.98 and Rs 376.54. The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has noted that these exchange rates may be revised as required. It also clarified that rates applied by commercial banks may differ, and the latest updates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
