WASHINGTON DC: Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal, currently in the United States to attend the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), addressed a business dialogue organized by the US Chamber of Commerce.
The event, titled “From the Himalayas to the Heartland: Strengthening the US-Nepal Partnership,” focused on enhancing bilateral economic ties. Minister Khanal spoke about Nepal’s current economic landscape and investment opportunities.
Nepal’s Ambassador to the US, Lokdarshan Regmi, embassy officials, and members of the US Chamber of Commerce were also present.
On Monday, Finance Minister Khanal held a meeting with IMF Deputy Managing Director Bo Li in Washington DC, where they discussed key financial and economic matters.
Also in attendance were Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr. Bishwanath Poudel, officials from the Nepali Embassy, members of the minister’s delegation, and IMF staff. Minister Khanal had arrived in Washington, D.C. on Sunday to participate in the joint annual meetings of the World Bank and the IMF.
