NRB publishes Sunday’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for Sunday. As per the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is set at Rs 140.95 and the selling rate at Rs 141.55.

Similarly, the buying rate of one Euro stands at Rs 165.30 and the selling rate at Rs 166, while one UK Pound Sterling is being bought at Rs 191.05 and sold at Rs 191.86. The Swiss Franc is valued at Rs 176.93 for buying and Rs 177.68 for selling.

For other currencies, the buying rate of one Australian Dollar is Rs 93.68 and the selling rate is Rs 94.07. One Canadian Dollar is being exchanged at Rs 101.86 (buying) and Rs 102.29 (selling), while one Singapore Dollar is valued at Rs 109.86 (buying) and Rs 110.32 (selling).

Ten Japanese Yen are being bought at Rs 9.54 and sold at Rs 9.58. One Chinese Yuan stands at Rs 19.79 for buying and Rs 19.88 for selling.

Among Middle Eastern currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is trading at Rs 37.57 (buying) and Rs 37.73 (selling), and the Qatari Riyal at Rs 38.67 (buying) and Rs 38.83 (selling).

The Thai Baht is set at Rs 4.44 for buying and Rs 4.46 for selling, the UAE Dirham at Rs 38.38 (buying) and Rs 38.54 (selling), and the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 33.52 (buying) and Rs 33.66 (selling). For the South Korean Won, 100 units are valued at Rs 10.13 (buying) and Rs 10.18 (selling).

In Scandinavian currencies, the Swedish Kronor is valued at Rs 15.11 (buying) and Rs 15.17 (selling), while the Danish Kronor stands at Rs 22.14 and Rs 22.24 respectively.

The Hong Kong Dollar is being bought at Rs 18.11 and sold at Rs 18.19. Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti Dinar is priced at Rs 461.54 (buying) and Rs 463.51 (selling), the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 373.85 and Rs 375.44, and the Omani Rial at Rs 366.08 and Rs 367.64 respectively.

Additionally, the exchange rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates are subject to revision as needed, and the exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary.
