Four parliamentary committees to convene on Thursday



KATHMANDU: Four committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet on Thursday, including the International Relations and Tourism Committee, the Finance Committee, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concern Committee, and the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee met at 8:30 am at Singha Durbar to discuss the final investigation report on the crash of Saurya Airlines’ CRJ 200 aircraft (registration 9N-AME).

The Finance Committee is set to meet at 11:00 am in its chamber at Singha Durbar to hold clause-by-clause deliberations on a bill related to mobilizing alternative development financing.

Also at 11:00 am, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concern Committee will discuss the progress, challenges, and problem-solving efforts in the implementation of national pride projects under the Ministry of Defence, as well as the ministry’s expectations from the committee.

The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will meet at 11:30 am to conduct clause-by-clause discussions on the Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2024.
