KATHMANDU: Widespread rainfall is likely today across several provinces in Nepal.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rainfall with thunder or lightning is expected in many hilly areas, including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Some places in other provinces may also see rainfall.
Heavy rainfall may occur in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces. Additionally, light to moderate rainfall or snowfall is possible in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
Tonight, similar conditions with light to moderate rain and possible thunder are expected in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with heavy rain likely in one or two places in Koshi and Lumbini.
