MALEKHU: A 22-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Saturday morning in Thakre Rural Municipality-8, Sopayangkhola, Dhading district.
The accident involved a motorcycle (Ba Pra 02-050 Pa 9620) that was heading toward Phokatpur from Hapsechaur. The deceased has been identified as Suman Thapa, a resident of Phokatpur, Thakre-8.
According to police, Thapa sustained serious injuries to his face and back. He was rushed to the Provincial Health Center in Gajuri after initial treatment, but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
“Preliminary investigation suggests that the accident was caused by overspeeding,” said DSP Subash Hamal, adding that a police team had reached the scene shortly after the incident.
