Budget session of Lumbini Provincial Assembly begins today



LUMBINI: The sixth and budget session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly is set to begin today, with the meeting scheduled for 1 pm.

According to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, preparations have been completed for the session’s commencement.

The Lumbini Provincial Government had earlier recommended to the Provincial Chief to convene the budget session on May 14.

The opening meeting will include congratulatory speeches from members of various political parties to mark the beginning of the new session.

The provincial government is preparing to present its policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year on May 18.

This session follows the conclusion of the fifth session, which ended on February 19.

The budget session is expected to set the tone for development priorities and financial planning in the province in the coming year.
