Land-related bill to be tabled in House of Representatives



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to continue today at 11 a.m. at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

The session, which began on Tuesday, will continue deliberations on the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83, excluding tax-related proposals.

Earlier, the policy and program for fiscal year 2082/83, presented by President Ram Chandra Poudel in a joint session of both houses, was endorsed by a majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Sunday.

In today’s meeting, the agenda includes a notice of opposition submitted by MP Prem Suwal regarding the proposal to present the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Land, 2082.

Additionally, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation Balaram Adhikari is scheduled to table the bill during the session.
