DPM Singh: Advancing urban projects in an organized manner

TANSEN: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has stated that his ministry is moving forward with urban projects in a structured and organized manner.

Speaking at a party gathering organized by the Nepali Congress in Palpa, Singh mentioned that the government is identifying key urban centers with the greatest impact and feasibility for development.

He also emphasized that ongoing urban projects initiated by previous governments are being reviewed for completion.

“We are progressing in a way that aligns with Nepal’s economic capacity,” he said.

DPM Singh further asserted that the government remains committed to the welfare of citizens, focusing on improvements in education, healthcare, employment, and entrepreneurship.

He added that efforts are underway to create job opportunities and skill development programs within Nepal to encourage youth to stay in the country.

Acknowledging past political instability, Singh reassured that the current administration is addressing public concerns through systematic development efforts.

“Saying that nothing has been achieved is incorrect. The country has seen significant changes, and the government is gradually addressing public aspirations,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress central member Nain Singh Mahar emphasized that stability does not solely come from a majority government, urging leaders to focus on ethical conduct. He also noted that the party’s general convention depends on grassroots engagement.

Nepali Congress Palpa President Himal Dutta Shrestha and former district president Bir Bahadur Rana highlighted the need for party leadership to address public dissatisfaction and restore trust.
