PM Oli inspects ‘Sagarmatha Sambaad’ Secretariat



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the bodies concerned to streamline the ‘Sagarmatha Sambaad’ (Sagarmatha Dialogue) programme. The three-day programme has been scheduled in Kathmandu from May 16.

He issued such directives after carrying out inspection and monitoring at Sagarmatha Sambaad Secretariat, which is in operation at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, today.

A Directive Committee has been formed under chairmanship of Prime Minister Oli, Management Committee under chairpersonship of Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba where Minister for Forests Ain Bahadur Shahi is the Co-Chairperson.

Similarly, a secretariat has been formed under coordination of Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

The government has invited head of the nation and head of the government of various countries including India and China as special guest in the programme.

Member-Secretary at the Secretariat, Dr Maheshwor Dhakal, shared that a press meet would be organized soon to inform about preparation of the programme carried out so.

Prime Minister Oli had announced to organized Sagarmatha Sambaad programme in Kathmandu on the occasion of International Year of Glacier Preservation, 2025. The government is organizing the programme for the first time keeping Climate Change, Mountains and Future of Humanity.
