Minister Adhikari stresses for resolving farmers’ problems



DHORPATAN: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ram Nath Adhikari, has said the ministry has been working in order to resolve farmers’ problems.

At a programme organized in Baglung municipality today, Minister Adhikari pointed out the need of providing grants only after identifying the genuine farmers.

He expressed concern saying though much grants were distributed in the agriculture sector, problems of real farmers are not resolved yet. Saying efforts are underway to make the country self-reliant on agriculture, Minister Adhikari stressed the need of providing grants to farmers based on production.

The Agriculture Minister also expressed commitment to bring those misusing the grants under the ambit of action.

He argued that investment should be increased for the development of agriculture, adding each family should be self-reliant on agriculture to eliminate poverty from the country.
