Education Minister pledges to connect Yoga to classroom



KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Bidya Bhattarai, has said the government is committed to infusing Yoga with the education system right from the school level and utilising it for the cause of society’s prosperity.

In her address to a function organised by the Ministry today on the occasion of the National Yoga Day, the Minister was of the view of promoting Yoga practices making it a part of life from the school level.

As she said, the government is effortful to connect the Yoga to classrooms and students’ daily life.

Also speaking on the occasion, Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, pledged to maximally coordinate with efforts to incorporate the Yoga in school curriculum.

“A healthy society will contribute to building a prosperous nation,” he said, underlining the need of more publicity for Yoga and its benefits for our life.
