Even park and forest lands are being handed over to individuals: Rawal

KATHMANDU: Dr. Bhim Bahadur Rawal, a leader expelled from the CPN-UML, has leveled another allegation against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Rawal accused Oli of plotting to transfer forest and park lands to individuals through an ordinance related to land, forests, and national parks.

His remarks follow President Ram Chandra Paudel’s decision to withhold the ordinance brought by the government.

Rawal questioned whether the attempt to allocate national park lands to individuals, which were protected even during the Panchayat era, was aimed at serving the interests of land mafias.

Since being expelled from the CPN-UML, Rawal has been vocal in his criticisms of Oli. Meanwhile, Oli’s supporters and UML leaders have accused Rawal of leaning towards monarchy.
