KATHMANDU: National Assembly (NA) Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal has said that contribution of Maghe Sankranti is crucial in maintaining national unity, religious and social goodwill and promoting distinct identities and cultures.
In his message of greetings on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti today, Dahal has wished for peace, happiness and prosperity to all Nepalis at home and abroad.
The NA Chair has stated that our languages, cultures, festivals and traditions are our national identities since they embody national unity in diversity.
Likewise, Dahal has urged the Tharu and Magar communities to celebrate this as their New Year Maghi with much fanfare and gaiety.
