Nepal Premier League to air on Nepali TV channels for the first time

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Premier League (NPL) will now be broadcast on Nepali television channels as well.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), which aired the first season of the league exclusively on Star Sports, has decided to include Nepali channels for the live broadcast of the second season.

CAN amended its broadcast contract just four days before the start of NPL Season Two. The association issued a notice on Thursday announcing that Nepali channels could now participate in the broadcast tender alongside Star Sports.

With this amendment, domestic TV networks will be able to telecast all NPL matches.

According to the tender notice, the minimum bid amount has been set at Rs 10 million. Interested media houses can purchase tender documents until 3 PM on Friday, while proposal submissions are open until noon on Saturday.

CAN stated that it will open the proposals at 1 PM on the same day.
