NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced today’s foreign currency exchange rates.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 141.52, while the selling rate stands at Rs 142.12. Likewise, one Euro is valued at a buying rate of Rs 163.75 and a selling rate of Rs 164.45.

Similarly, the buying rate for one British Pound Sterling is Rs 185.75, and the selling rate is Rs 186.56. The Swiss Franc is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 177.08 and a selling rate of Rs 177.83.

The buying and selling rates for other major currencies are as follows: the Australian dollar at Rs 92.47 and Rs 92.86, the Canadian dollar at Rs 100.97 and Rs 101.40, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 108.56 and Rs 109.02, respectively.

Ten Japanese yen are valued at Rs 9.14 for buying and Rs 9.18 for selling. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 19.88 for buying and Rs 19.97 for selling. One Saudi Arabian riyal trades at Rs 37.74 (buying) and Rs 37.90 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is valued at Rs 38.83 and Rs 38.99, respectively.

According to NRB, the Thai baht is being exchanged at Rs 4.36 for buying and Rs 4.38 for selling, and the UAE dirham at Rs 38.53 and Rs 38.69. The Malaysian ringgit trades at Rs 34.21 for buying and Rs 34.36 for selling, while the South Korean won is at Rs 9.65 and Rs 9.69. Similarly, the Swedish krona is valued at Rs 14.99 for buying and Rs 15.05 for selling, and the Danish krone at Rs 21.93 and Rs 22.02.

The Hong Kong dollar is fixed at Rs 18.21 for buying and Rs 18.28 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar trades at Rs 460.71 and Rs 462.66, while the Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 375.36 and Rs 376.95. The Omani riyal stands at Rs 367.58 for buying and Rs 369.14 for selling. Likewise, 100 Indian rupees are valued at Rs 160.15 for selling and Rs 160.00 for buying.

The central bank noted that the exchange rates may be adjusted as required, and commercial banks may offer slightly different rates. Updated figures are available on the official website of the Nepal Rastra Bank.
