HoR: Minister Gurung to present IT and Cyber Security Bill



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) of the Federal Parliament is meeting today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

In today’s meeting, concerned ministers will respond to oral questions related to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies; Ministry of Health and Population: and Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.

Additionally, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, is scheduled to present a proposal to consider the Information Technology and Cyber Security Bill, 2082.

Meanwhile, meetings of four parliamentary committees are also being held today. The Finance Committee is scheduled to hold a clause-wise discussion on the Bill to Make Provisions Regarding the Mobilization of Alternative Development Finance.

The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will hold discussions with the Home Minister regarding the incident that took place at Kailali Prison on August 8, its impact, and possible measures for resolution.

Similarly, the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will deliberate on the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Relating to Land, 2082.

The Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee is set to discuss the key issues covered in the 62nd report of the Auditor General.
