PM inaugurates Madan Dangi–Tarabari–Dipu road in Damak

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the Madan Dangi–Tarabari–Dipu road upgrading project in Damak Municipality, Jhapa, today.

The road, considered a pride project of the municipality, was constructed with support from the World Bank and is one of 17 roads selected from across Nepal. The 4.86-kilometer road, built at a cost of Rs 442.4 million, is recognized as a model project for being completed on time.

Speaking at the inauguration, Prime Minister Oli said the road stands as a symbol of development efforts across the country. He emphasized the government’s commitment to continue development projects from Mechi to Mahakali and also announced the construction of a large stadium in Beldangi, Damak.

According to the Prime Minister’s Private Secretariat, Oli highlighted that results in this year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE) improved by 13 percent following the introduction of free online classes in key subjects. These classes were conducted with a spirit of volunteerism as part of a broader plan to bring reforms across all sectors.

He also objected to false claims made by some opponents who alleged that he had left people during his recent visit to Spain. Dismissing the accusation as propaganda meant to overshadow the success of his trip, Oli stated there was no need to respond to such baseless rumors.
