Heavy rainfall likely in four provinces today



KATHMANDU: Several parts of the country are expected to experience active monsoon conditions today, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also likely in many areas across all provinces.

With monsoon winds actively influencing weather across the country, light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are also possible in some high-hill and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, and at a few locations in the remaining provinces. Additionally, heavy rainfall is possible at one or two locations in Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.

There also remains a chance of light to moderate rain and snowfall in some high-hill and mountainous areas during the night.
