Karnali government to launch disability prevention programme at 14 local levels



KARNALI: The Karnali Province government has forged a partnership with 14 local levels in the province to implement disability prevention and rehabilitation programmes.

The Social Development Ministry will be implementing the programme aimed at providing treatment for disabilities, prevent potential disabilities and rehabilitate the people with disabilities through the local levels, it was shared at a programme organised by the Ministry at Surkhet of Birendranagar on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry,   around 10,000 people with disabilities from various local levels including Bheriganga and Panchapuri municipalities, Chaukune and Simta rural municipalities, Raskot municipality are expected to be benefitted from the programmes to be supported by the Karuna Foundation Nepal, NFD-N and the UNICEF.
