Nepal faces India today in SAFF U-19 Championship

KATHMANDU: Nepal will take on India today in a decisive Group ‘B’ match of the SAFF Under-19 Championship football tournament.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 8:45 pm Nepali time at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Arunachal Pradesh, India.

Both Nepal and India have already secured their spots in the semi-finals, but today’s match will determine who finishes at the top of the group. The group leader will likely gain a strategic advantage going into the knockout stage.

In their previous matches, both teams cruised past Sri Lanka. Nepal dominated with a 5-0 victory, while India overwhelmed the same opponent 8-0, placing them ahead on goal difference.

For Nepal, a win is essential to finish as group winner.

India, on the other hand, only needs a draw to retain the top spot. With high stakes and regional pride on the line, the encounter is expected to be tightly contested.
