Minister Yadav vows to resolve drinking water problem in Kalaiya



BARA: Minister for Drinking Water, Pradip Yadav, has pledged to address the ongoing drinking water issues in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-8 of Bara district.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Khapartata Drinking Water Project, Minister Yadav expressed confidence that the completion of the project would help alleviate the water scarcity faced by local residents.

He assured that every household in the area would gain access to clean and safe drinking water.

“With the official launch of the Khapartata Drinking Water Project, the government is fulfilling its responsibility to ensure safe drinking water for all,” said Yadav. He added that the ministry is committed to expanding similar water supply projects throughout the country.

On the occasion, Arjun Babu Dhakal, Director General of the Nepal Water Supply Corporation, noted that the project was brought into operation after the local drinking water and sanitation consumers’ committee assumed responsibility for its management. He remarked that the local community is pleased with the initiative.

The event was attended by several political leaders, provincial lawmakers, and local representatives.
