HoR meeting taking place to discuss Appropriation Bill priorities

KAHTMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) and the National Assembly (NA), the two Houses of Nepal’s Federal Parliament, are set to convene today.

The HoR will meet at 11 a.m., while the NA will meet at 1:15 p.m., both at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

The sessions will focus on discussions regarding the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2082/83, excluding any tax-related proposals.

Inputs gathered from these deliberations will help shape the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.

Earlier, the government’s policies and programs for 2082/83—presented by President Ram Chandra Poudel in a joint session —was endorsed by a majority in both houses on Sunday.
