KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds.

As of Thursday morning, the weather in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces is partly cloudy, while the rest of the country enjoys mostly clear skies.

The Weather Forecasting Division has reported mist and fog in some areas of the central and eastern Terai.

The Division’s bulletin also notes the possibility of light snowfall in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces today.

“Light snowfall is possible in certain areas of the high hilly and mountainous zones of Koshi and Gandaki provinces today. Mist and fog are expected in parts of the Terai during the morning,” it stated.

Given that these weather conditions could partially affect daily life, health, and transportation (both road and air), the Division has advised the public to take appropriate precautions to minimize any potential impact.
