Tarai-Madhes-centric parties step up preparations for forming a front

KATHMANDU: Tarai-Madhes-centric parties in Nepal have intensified their efforts to form a political front.

Both the parties represented in the federal parliament and those outside it are set to hold a working group meeting in this regard.

The first meeting of the working group will be held at Samarpan Academy in Dhumbarahi on Tuesday at 10 am.

Key participants from various political parties include Renu Yadav and Mohammad Istiyak Rai from the Janata Samajwadi Party led by Ashok Rai, as well as Rajkishore Yadav from the Janata Samajwadi Party led by Upendra Yadav.

Additionally, Jitendra Sonal and Surendra Jha from the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party led by Mahanta Thakur, Abdul Khan and Sharad Yadav from the Janmat Party led by Dr CK Raut, and Shivaji Yadav from the Jana Pragatisheel Party are expected to attend.

Keshav Jha from the Rastriya Mukti Party led by Rajendra Mahato and Vrishesh Chand Lal from the Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party will also participate.
